Publisher/Editor - Joe Reynolds
Joe Reynolds is an active member of the Outdoor Writers Association of America. After a successful career as a fulltime freelance writer and photographer - including an eight-year stint as eastern editor for "Field & Stream" - Joe now devotes all his time to managing the Outdoors Network web site. He has won numerous awards for his writing and photography, including selection for the coveted Nikon Outdoors Photographers Showcase. Reynolds works from his home on Maryland's Eastern Shore; he is a lifelong, avid fly fisherman, and also an enthusiastic upland bird hunter.
Reynolds is one of the pioneers in developing online communities, beginning in 1988 developing outdoors related communities on CompuServe. Those communities became some of the most popular on CompuServe until Reynolds left in 1998.
Reynolds and Outdoors Network received accolades and a nomination for the coveted ComputerWorld-Smithsonian Awards for "Heroic Achievement in Information Technology" for creating Outdoor Bytes, a magazine-on-a-disk. A copy of the project is in a time capsule at the Smithsonian.
The State of Maryland presented Reynolds with its "Travel Writer of the Year" award.

Jim Gilford is the outdoor columnist for the Frederick News-Post. He is a member of the Outdoor Writers Association of America, the Pennsylvania Outdoor Writers Association and the Mason-Dixon Outdoor Writers. He has received numerous awards for his outdoor reporting.
A lifelong hunter and angler, he is active in wildlife and fisheries management affairs at the state and national level, having served on and chaired the Maryland Sport Fishing Advisory Commission for a number of years.
He represented Maryland on the Mid-Atlantic Fisheries Management Council for nine years, chairing the council for six of those years, and he continues to serve on the Council’s science and statistical committee. He represents Maryland on the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission’s Striped Bass Advisory Panel and on the Interstate Commission on the Potomac River Basin.
Jim is a past president of the International Federation of Fly Fishers, an ACA certified casting instructor and former Eastern Director of the Fenwick Fly Fishing Schools.

Currently chairs the Maryland Sport Fisheries Adviisory Commission and also serves as chair of State Water Quality Advisory Committee. Penrod also provides a summer youth camp called Camp Sycamore and is the Regional Sales Manager for Lowrance & Eagle Electronics.
