Image Info: Frank Burt Smoot, the grand old man of Maryland Fly Anglers. Frank was an artist and his paintings of trout grace the walls of many fly fishermen. Frank acted as master of ceremonies at early Maryland Fly Anglers Gurney Godfrey Dinners. Photographed during April 1987. If anyone knows the lady with Frank, please post me a message on the forum message board.

I am crying as I look at this great picture of my dad, Simeon Yaruta. So glad to see people remember who he was . .. a great fisherman who lived in the shadows of others and yes, a true pal of the wonderful guy, Frank Smoot.
